NST EDITORIAL
Crossing the line

2009/08/31

FROM what he allegedly told reporters outside the Selangor state secretariat last Friday afternoon, Ahmad Mahyuddin Abdul Manaf, chairman of the “action committee” of the Residents’ Association of Shah Alam’s Section 23, cannot wash his hands of what transpired there.

He was highly provocative, reportedly saying the residents he represented were prepared to shed blood to prevent a Hindu temple being relocated to their neighbourhood. Ahmad Mahyuddin cast these statements as a warning but they came across as a threat — indeed, a boast.

Had that been the extent of it, however, perhaps this little protest could also have been swallowed and digested like all the other public displays of disaffection now de rigueur among aggrieved citizens.

But there was that cow’s head, not just dumped on the road outside the state government’s gates but kicked and spat on by some of those who may or may not have taken that gruesome object there.

The group’s leader and spokesman claims they were not part of his party. That’s not good enough. Blaming infiltrators and agents provocateur is standard among organisers of rallies that turn ugly and violent.

If it cuts no ice when these protests draw tens of thousands, how much less can it be believed with a few dozen? Even if the event chairman had not known what a few thugs were planning to do with his little parade, he cannot take charge of their cause without assuming responsibility for their action.

And their action was vile, perhaps gambling that against a Pakatan Rakyat state government it would not incur the wrath of the federal authorities.

Indeed, the police have had to apologise for letting the spectacle unfold that Friday afternoon, while the protesters are now being investigated for illegal assembly and under the Sedition Act.

Why not the Internal Security Act, the traditional recourse for actions engineered for racial conflict? The ISA is under fire, being “reviewed” as opponents demand its repeal, but it’s still on the books, and this could be one instance where few would object to its use.

Or perhaps this ugly little episode will test the oft-stated proposition that the Police Act is sufficient against crimes for which the ISA was once used. Whatever the case, this should serve to remind us that there are those who deserve to be shunned by all, and such sociopaths may need to be isolated from our society and allowed to work out their salvation however they might, away from decent Malaysians.

WHO IS THE ‘BLACK HAND’ CAUSING ALL THESE MISCHIEF IN SELANGOR?

August 30, 2009 on 1:10 pm | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo‘…the barbaric and ‘kurang ajar’ behavior of a minority should not be allowed to derail 1MALAYSIA! Individuals like these two lead morons need to know if they are today fighting for their lives in any of Malaysia’s government or private hospitals there is a 80% chance that the one who may operate on them and save their lives would be a Hindu!’ - Dr Jacob George

FOR ME IT IS A BLACK ‘HARI KEMERDEKAAN 2009!’

A certain person’s hallmark is written in all of these events which started with the invasion of privacy of one elected representative, that followed an attack against another which resulted in this person being detained under the ISA for a brief moment, if this was not enough several communal and racial issues were stirred in the state of Selangor and finally we had the unfortunate death of one a elected representatives assistant!

Strangely the corrupt practices of this BN politician and others like him is well known but there is no political will to rein him in - even after last weeks’ unfortunate affairs where extreme provocation was initiated by some 50 residents allegedly enraged with the proposed relocation of a Hindu temple to their area staged a noisy protest with a severed cow’s head this afternoon.

(Lead Moron - left!)

The residents – were all not from Section 23 in Shah Alam but they gathered after the Friday prayers, placed the cow head outside the gates of the state secretariat building for a short period before removing it.

They chanted abusive calls at a Selangor executive councilor in charge of non-Muslim affairs in the state.

They condemned Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim, exco member Rodziah Ismail and Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad. Earlier, the protesters had marched some 300m from the state mosque to the state secretariat building.

If these were not enough to add insult to injury they before dispersing spat, stomped on the cow’s head.

To these 50 individuals who are literate, ‘kurang ajar’ or plainly idiots allow me to restate that the cow is considered sacred among Hindus!

Action of these two barbarians (above) well documented by the international press!

What were worse were the reported taunting, the abuse the arrogance and provocation from one Ibrahim Sabri who is reported to have said the following statement:

“If there is blood, you (the state government) will be responsible if you are adamant about building the temple.”

“This is a warning. Relocate the temple to Section 22. This cow is a present to the state government. This is a gift from us,” he added.

The protesters also carried several banners which among others read ‘Take Beer’ (mocking PAS’ rallying cry of ‘Takbir’) and ‘Illegal temples are very small, but once relocated, they are as big as Putrajaya’.

The crowd gathered for about 15 minutes at the main entrance of the state secretariat building under the watch of more than a dozen police personnel whose inaction was startling and irresponsible!

There was clear evidence compiled by reporters who taped the statement by Action Committee chair Mahyuddin Manaf who is reported to have warned that the state government must give in or the residents would retaliate.

“We will not budge one inch, even if lives are lost or blood is made to flow. We will still defend Section 23 from having a temple built there,” he is reported to have said!

You do not have to be a rocket scientist or a PhD in law to know and ascertain that those words were seditious!

They are inciting racial and religious hatred

When in Pekan on Saturday I was informed that premier Najib Tun Razak was flabbergasted at the behavior of these protesters and called the IGP to act swiftly!

At the time of writing several police reports have already being made at section 11 Police Station in Shah Alam!

Peace loving and law abiding Malaysians are all now waiting to see if action will be taken against those who nearly caused a major bloodbath and threatened the peace, goodwill and cordiality among all races and religions in Malaysia!

Or are they and the ‘black hand’ behind them who is still out to create mischief above the law?

IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED ON DEMONSTRATION LEADERS CASSA URGES PM!

The Consumers Association of Subang and Shah Alam Selangor (CASSA) today called upon Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak carry out his promise of ‘zero tolerance’ on the activities and behavior of religious and political extremists in the country threatening the peace, goodwill law and order of the nation!

CASSA appeals to the PM to initiate immediate action against those who masterminded yesterday seditious, provocative and threatening demonstration where the religious sensitivities of Malaysian Hindus were provoked!

CASSA believes there is adequate photographic footage and records of the seditious and provocative speeches made by those are behind these illegal demonstrations!

And whose ‘political running dogs’ are these two fanning violence and threatening the peace, goodwill and tolerance in the state by this vary act? (see below?)

The nation should not be blackmailed and cannot allow the acts of a minority to threaten and destroy the delicate balance of goodwill and harmony that exist between all races and religions in this country!

By their seditious and provocative speeches and actions of dragging the head of a cow clearly reveal their evil intentions to create a riot and violence between Muslims and Hindus in the country!

CASSA appeals that the nation’s preventive laws be immediately exercised to rope in all those behind this fanatical and seditious action which smears both Islam and Hinduism and during the holy month of Ramadan!

CASSA calls upon all peace loving Malaysians to join a chorus condemning the acts and behavior of such groups that such despicable action and behavior have no place in this country where peace, goodwill and religious and racial tolerance have always existed.

ACTION ON DR CHUA SOI LEK A MINDLESS AND SPINELESS ACT (Part 2)

August 27, 2009 on 2:25 pm | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo

Moments after I posted my views, here, dear friend and former MCA vice-president Fong Chan Onn (above left) has echoed my calls urging party leadership to reconsider the decision to sack deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek from the party over a sex scandal!

His line of the mitigation was straight forward as I put it - Dr Chua Soi Lek has apologized for the scandal and resigned as a minister and parliamentarian to take moral responsibility, an act that was never repeated by any other Malaysian politician who was implicated in any scandal!

The difference is here the present party leadership must respect the decision of delegates who elected Chua as a deputy president at party polls last October.

Malaysians are not a butch of idiots!

This is not about self righteousness or morality as Ong Tee Keat likes to spin it!

But it is clear it is about ‘power’ and ‘the control of MCA’ and now that the battle lines are set and there is a major split and soon there will be a call for an extraordinary general meeting where action will be taken against Ong and those who were behind this!

That includes the worst health minister Malaysia has ever had!

But sadly this action will hurt further the Barisan Nasional!

ACTION ON CHUA A MINDLESS OVER-KILL THAT WILL DESTROY SPINELESS MCA!

August 27, 2009 on 11:10 am | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo

The well ‘orchestrated political kill’ of a DVD first made in appearance in late 2007 which resulted in Dr Chua Soi Lek accepting liability and resigning as MCA vice-president and Labis MP on Jan 1 last year!

But the delegates gave him a reprieve and he was elected deputy president at the party AGM last October.

But the truth is the delegate choice was never respected and it has been brewing and finally the lots are cast with the MCA sacking its deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek with immediate effect!

This followed the party’s presidential council decision last night to accept its disciplinary board’s recommendation that Dr Chua be sacked from the party.

Whether the decision was taken with ‘a heavy heart’ or plain political expediency and marked stupidity the war is not over not by a long short!

I am certain past MCA presidents and other leaders of the MCA must be now feeling really sad the way things are brewing in the party at a time when component parties of the cornered Barisan Nasional need to get their act together.

Knowing Dr Chua Soi Lek as I do, I am certain he will come out stronger from all these as he is by far a decent and better man!

It was another major loss!

There was no ‘winds of change’ and will never be as long as we think we can continue the ‘old ways at politically running this nation!’

Assisted by a strong wave within the MSM and their heavyweight columnists and the electronic media it was a media war to reshape perceptions!
Strange a day later, after another defeat all mainstream newspapers and their politically connected columnists are blaming the BN/UMNO candidate and the selection process when earlier on they all sang many a lullabies!

This in itself speaks volumes about our claims about integrity in the country and the doublespeak!

Nothing seems to have been learned from the wacking we received at GE12th!

Now with more controversies and scandals exposing ‘big names’ in business and politics about to surface the nation watches betrayed whether the ‘powers that be’ would do the right thing - that is to remove Malaysia’s corrupt, the racists, the pathological liars and the raving lunatics in the land!

PM SIR - PLEASE REPLACE THE HEALTH MINISTER!

August 18, 2009 on 3:07 pm | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo

I have been besieged by members of the electronic and print media both domestic and international for calling Malaysia’s Health Minister an idiot!

Alright I will confess I also stated that he in my humble and qualified opinion was the worst health minister we have ever had!

It was not the way he handled just our dengue outbreak or the banning of our seafood exports to the European union!

It was a series of issues that went wrong!

And one of the reasons I said so was from the onset of this outbreak in Mexico I was at the NST office when he walked in to do the highly public relations stint on this outbreak giving the impression that all of us were in safe hands!

In fact, I spoke to some one very senior at MOH stating that the said interview was handled all wrong!

Then the weeks that followed were simply nightmarish when claims that the scanners at the points of entry were stated as working and operative but in reality was not neither was the screening of incoming passengers from sectors that were already having A(H1N1) cases and the plot thickened and it was all being played up like a roller coaster ride!

Too much spin with little substance!

Then the cases came in one by one still no panic it was business as usual!

Then the schools, universities and colleges, one by one were hit yet no seriously change in strategy nor spin which was shocking to me!

Then came the deaths at this time standing at 62 and still my call for strategic color zoning or total clampdown of schools and gatherings were water sprayed on a ducks backside!

Then as is expected in our over enthusiastic business sector masks and medical items soared in costs with a mask started costing a massive RM5.00 which was plain unadulterated profiteering!

Again I called for price controls to control our selfish and greedy industry players brought this matter with my Secretary General at the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumers Affairs!

He was very sympathetic and supportive of my appeal!

But then there was cross fire – the Minister of Information, health and ultimately deputy premier all coming up with statements that made no sense of leadership, direction or purpose!

Then my call for Price Control was accepted and I bore relief!

Then came the most idiotic statement ever to come from the Ministry of Health confirming in my mind that the Minister of Health must be asked to resign!

I am asking him to be replaced because he had the audacity to state that those found to have willfully spread influenza A (H1N1), which has so far claimed 62 lives including three yesterday, face a fine of up to RM10,000 or up to two years in jail.

I am aware that he was referring to Section 12(1) of the Disease Control Act which was totally uncalled for!

For one – it will be a very interesting case indeed and one the international audience would watch including law undergraduates!

It will all revolve around the operative word – ‘willfully!’

What ever way one looks at this it will be another classic example of how we have failed to provide competent and professional leadership and now finding excuses to divert attention from the real incompetent fools who brought us first into this mess!

HYPERMARKETS PLAYING DIRTY – TIME TO INITIATE MAJOR BOYCOTTS AND GOVERNMENT TO REMOVE SUBSIDIES!

August 18, 2009 on 9:52 am | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo

HYPERMARKETS PLAYING DIRTY – TIME TO INITIATE MAJOR BOYCOTTS AND GOVERNMENT TO REMOVE SUBSIDIES!

I have said it before and I say it again that retailers should not lower the prices of the four subsidized products!

The rationale is simple – we want to protect Malaysia’s small operators against the ‘big boys with their many connections, political and financial power!

So I really support the call by Domestic Trade, Co-operative and Consumerism Ministry Secretary General, dear friend, the proactive and hardworking, Datuk Mohd Zain Mohd Dom that sugar, bread, all-purpose flour and cooking oil are not allowed to be sold below their fixed price from Aug 1!

I am glad he has done it as I am aware that several leading hypermarkets and other big retailers have been holding promotions where they sell these items below the fixed price to woo more shoppers.

This is indecent and the move will hurt the retailers and small businesses in the country!

And the backlash from this is deadly and at a time of so many distractions and political uncertainties in the country – this is not welcomed!

sundry shops must be protected!

‘culture and way of life must be supported!’
I do not think it is necessary to be apologetic and I fully laud the ministry’s move as the focus is clear and one where the sole objective is to help the ‘little boys’ and punitive action must be taken against those who dare float this directive!

It is clear we must try to create a level playing field for them to compete with larger rivals.

And we al know that hypermarkets were buying in bulk and were willing to sell at a loss. This had resulted in smaller retailers not being able to make money on these items.

We must also realize that in this year alone government will spend RM1.91 billion to subsidies the four products — much higher than last year, as sugar was included as a subsidized product this year at a cost of RM720 million to the government.

Can you imagine the number of schools and clinics the government can build with this money if diverted?

Though the big boys are trying to spin that their actions was to suppress demand, especially since several festival celebrations were coming and that hypermarkets were being generous to relieve the people’s burden which in my mind is purely unadulterated bullshit!

Having said that, I am also calling the government to remove all subsidies before the end of the year as this is unproductive!

It has only encouraged smuggling and hoarding!

There is widespread smuggling in the open through all kinds of vehicles and also through the underworld to Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia!

We must remove the subsidies but bring in the ration cards along the lines of ‘means test’ like in India where subsidies are given to the ‘haves not’ not the rich and powerful or other parasites across geographical borders!

A (H1N1) - INSTEAD OF ENGAGING THE PEOPLE SOME IDIOTS MAKE THREATS!

August 18, 2009 on 12:20 am | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo‘instead of engaging people these idiots make threats of jail terms and huge fines!’ - Dr Jacob George

DEATH TOLL GOES UP AND THIS IDIOT SUCCUMBS TO THREATS?

It is really sad that two more people have died due to the influenza A (H1N1).

The latest two victims are a seven-month-old boy and a 74-year-old woman.

The number of people killed due to the flu now stands at 64 and I expect it to go higher!

384 new cases have been reported taking the total reported cases to 4,225.

We have not found it necessary to close our institutions of education – namely, schools, colleges, universities shut!

We have found it not fit to ear mark or zone A (H1N1) areas but we have found it easy to do what certain fools do best that is make threats!

Now we are warned by some idiots who should have either resigned for incompetence but no that they will not do but have the audacity to make threats that those with the flu can be fined up to RM10, 000 or jailed up to two years if they did not practice self-quarantine!

Do you think that ‘I care in rat’s ass’ – or bother if I am on death’s door that this idiot wants to send me to jail and fine me?

Instead of engaging (operative word here – engaging!) the nation and the people some people got that rare gift of alienating and hurting the vary people they will have to suck up to for the next General election which come to think is not far away!

KEEPING THEM HONEST - MASK A PRICE CONTROL ITEM WELCOMED!

August 17, 2009 on 11:06 pm | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo‘price control will curb abuse and profiteering!’ - Dr Jacob George

As I indicated in several of the talk shows over Malaysia’s mainstream TV networks that I fully supported the government’s move to impose the Price Control Act on the sale of face masks to curb excessive profiteering.

I feel it is timely and more so because I was the lone voice screaming in the wilderness for a few weeks now that it was timely for the government to move in after getting wind that mask were being sold at a criminal sum of over RM4.00.

I brought the matter up with my KSU (Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumers Affairs) at our meeting in Putrajaya last week and he was all in favor to render help!

My team and I were aware that there was widespread profiteering and market manipulation.

Then we had a few idiots having the audacity to ask for the definition of profiteering when in all fairness even a child could answer that!

And this is made easy because Malaysia’s enforcement agencies do not work.

And by imposing price control, we are sending a message to businesses and industry players to put an end to the escalating cost which as I had indicated was pure unadulterated cheating cum profiteering!

Now to fine tune the entire exercise I call upon an inter-ministerial initiative between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism to curb hoarding and manipulation of prices by the industry.

It is my desire to see all clandestine operations that make huge profits to stop as they go against all norms and etiquette!

Two things are very crucial now!

1. That industries and businesses will abide by the minister’s directive.

2. The government needs to ensure that a stockpile of masks is ready and pegged the price at a particular rate in all places.

I do not want people, especially those from the lower income group, to be manipulated or cheated!

It would be ideal if there could be free distribution of face masks in the vicinity of all health facilities, local councils, public and private agencies but this may be asking too much?

KEEPING THEM HONEST - A (H1N1) AND WHAT IS MALAYSIA DOING?

August 13, 2009 on 11:07 am | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo

A (H1N1) AND WHAT IS MALAYSIA DOING?

So as we ‘spin and spin’ our way through a maze of incompetence at all levels with Malaysia’s worst health minister at helm the outbreak worsens!

One thing is clear these are all politicians who worry more about their ‘positions and politics’ rather than having the balls to make the right decision rather than a political one and the death toll rises!

But how are others handling the same outbreak?

In India, a diplomat friend informs me that the government has ordered all schools and colleges in the vast city of Mumbai to shut for a week over fears about the spread of A (H1N1) flu.

The state government of Maharashtra has had the highest incidence of H1N1 flu fatalities in India, with four people dying over the last ten days in Pune, 120 kilometres from Mumbai.

Their immediate action – no spinning immediate action!

They just close down schools, colleges and coaching classes in the entire city for a week starting on Thursday!

Secondly, they have effectively screened people who have returned from overseas, tens of thousands of travelers arriving at India’s international airports mostly from affected countries!

A 24-hour helpline and website have been set up, public hospitals have been given responsibility for testing and isolation of suspected cases, and 100,000 doses of the anti-viral drug Tamil flu have been sent to affected cities.

India’s proactive, intelligent and fiercely competitive cable news channels have devoted hours of airtime to the virus daily, frequently featuring reporters wearing masks stood in front of long lines of people waiting outside hospitals.

This is not all major celebrations and festivities have been downsized or canceled!

Even Bollywood activities are restricted or curtailed!

Here in Malaysia - groups with vested interest either downplay the outbreak ‘obsessed with the tourist dollar’ rather than the lives and limbs of Malaysians!

While others too stupid to react and take leadership wait for ‘instructions from higher ups!’

If I was the health minister I would do this:

1.     Immediately close all schools, colleges, universities! Cancel all gatherings and programs involving the gathering of people!

2.     Put all hospitals and government run clinics on emergency footing - freezing all leave!

3.     Providing adequate flu vaccines and masks to all hospital and clinics and front line staff!

4.     Mobilize information vans to drive all over with broadcasting news on the ‘do & don’t ‘and information where to go if infected!

5.     Set up 24hr helpline with adequate professional staff!

6.     Instruct all electronic and print media to highlight repeatedly instructions and updates on the matter!

7.     Shut down our airports prohibiting flights coming from primarily infected countries and screen all other entry points!

8.     Instruct all private hospitals and clinics to provide free screening and medication to suspected cases!

9.  Visitors infected or suspected to be infected to be confined to emergency medical center to be set up at the airport or airport hotel!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POLICE REPORT AGAINST THE AL-ISLAM MAGAZINE AND ITS TWO JOURNALIST?

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo‘article vulgar and insensitive!’

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POLICE REPORT AGAINST THE AL-ISLAM MAGAZINE AND ITS TWO JOURNALIST?

Premier Najib Tun Razak has already gone on record that serious action will be taken upon anybody who offends any religion or religious practices in the country!

One of the penal sanctions which may be considered in this matter is the law applying to sedition.

Of late, I see many individuals been hauled up for allegedly insulting religion with desperado politicos and others assumed to be intelligent joining in the bandwagon without first ascertaining the facts and worst, urging various preventive and other sanctions on the former!

By the same token and expectation I am still wondering what ever happened to the police report filed by Joachim Francis Xavier on the actions of monthly Malay-language Al-Islam magazine and its reporters who pretended to be Christians, participated in a Christian service and Eucharist then split out the holy Eucharist, photographed it and filed the story?

Was the action of these irresponsible journalists which brought Christianity into disrepute and controversy and indeed caused religious tensions not worthy of the highest punishments?

Or are they above the law?

What if the actions were reversed would there have not be demonstrations, burning of religious houses as it happened in Kedah, Perak, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan years ago?

If everyone starts to intrude into each other’s services and write about it, there will be chaos!

Norshamsinor Baharin, the assistant editor of Al-Islam is reported to have stated that he did not want to make any statement for now and I wonder why?

What stops him instead from issuing an unreserved apology in the same magazine?

Those behind the perverted and fabricated article stated they were trying to confirm rumors that Muslim teenagers were being converted to Christianity in Kuala Lumpur’s churches every Sunday.

The only consolation was that these misinformed idiots reiterated that they found this to be misplaced and untrue!

‘found article appalling and offensive!’
So far only UMNO Youth leader, Khairy Jamaluddin has issued a statement for which I am deeply moved!

He described the actions of the journalist as “appalling and offensive”, grounded in disrespect and ignorance and saying their action was unacceptable even by a Muslim such as himself.

He reiterated that Islamic virtues of empathy, respect and tolerance were obviously absent in both the journalists and the magazine’s editorial team that sanctioned the publishing of the article and the methods employed to gather information!

Khairy, who is also the MP for Rembau, further stated those behind the fracas should imagine what they would feel if Christians were to do the same thing, going to a mosque pretending to worship as Muslims and then making a mockery out of their religious practice.

The other bankrupt Malaysian politicians and politician wannabes which includes others masquerading as think tank heads and political analysts have so far being rather silent!

For the record, this is not the first time this has happened.

The last time another church in Perak was the center for a ruckus and mob demonstration after a religious head made a false and misleading statement!

Follow up investigations showed there was no wrong done by the Church!

But was there any action taken against the idiot who started the panic and wild action that could have resulted in lost of life and limbs?

Your guess is as good as mine!

We must remember that Christian, Buddhist and Hindu minorities today comprise about more than one-third of Malaysia’s population and such actions by supposedly religious men and leaders, racists, misinformed and foolish individuals and their magazines can cause widespread disharmony in a country already under all forms of tensions, political splits, power struggles, siege and polarization!

It is pertinent Premier Najib Tun Razak personally look into these issues as it has far reaching implications to the peace and goodwill of the nation and the 1Malaysia policy!

MALAYSIA’S WORST HEALTH MINISTER SHOULD STEP DOWN MAKING WAY FOR CHUA SOI LEK TO RETURN!

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo

I have no doubts in my mind that Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai is the worst Health Minister Malaysia has had!

‘don’t know what he is smiling about really…..’ Dr Jacob George
‘best health minister we have had’
If he has any decency left in him - he would quit his post and allow perhaps the return of Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek (above) to return in this portfolio!

After all he was the best Health Minister we have ever had!

WHILE RACISTS POLITICIANS SLUG IT OUT – A (H1N1) DEATHS CLIMB TO 38 AND POTENTIAL INVESTMENTS STAGGER?

August 11, 2009 on 12:50 pm | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo‘Ministers need to focus and be professional - it cannot be party politics 24/7, it is sickening to all!’ - Dr Jacob George

WHILE RACISTS POLITICIANS SLUG IT OUT – A (H1N1) DEATHS CLIMB TO 38 AND POTENTIAL INVESTMENTS STAGGER?

I am not surprised that we have had more deaths related to Influenza A (H1N1), bringing the total number of fatalities to 38!

So reported cases in the country stood at 1,982. Globally, 208,155 people have been found to be infected by the virus and 1,688 people from 174 countries have died.

Remember I stated there was a ‘WHO mantra’ that we could have anything from 5000 to 35,000 deaths from this flu!

We need to get our act together starting to work together and putting our childish politics and racists minds to slumber but this has not happened.

Remember the virus does not differentiate between a Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Raayat candidate/supporter!

So if we can get our act together – things could change positively but if we persist in doing things like political shenanigans and racists – GOD HELP US ALL!

But I need to remind friends like Defense Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Minister for International Trade and industry Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir and Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir to check their facts before they speak!

We must be able to know the difference between half-truths, lies and political spins and fabrications!

We cannot be screaming ISA and Sedition Act every hour of the day – it sounds absolutely stupid coming days before we celebrate the nation’s 52 Independence Day!

We should not play the ‘religious and race card’ at each and every turn though it seems a brilliant strategy when re-run over mainstream electronic media at prime time!

Having said that we do not also need spin masters or prostituting journalists/columnists saying otherwise!

We need to deal with the perception that there are two set of laws operating in 1Malaysia!

Two pertinent questions remain:

1. Will action be taken against Utusan Malaysia and its reporters for what were extremely provocative and seditious articles of late?

2. Will action be taken against this magazine and its reporters who violated the sanctity of Christian worship and our sacred Eucharist’s and then has the indecency to publish it?

Prime Minister Sir - with all humility, I say this - If the answer to both is in the affirmative then we are taking the right and best step forward!

Prime Minister Sir - You may need to advice your Ministers 24/7 when to speak, what to speak and when to plainly shut up!

MACC’s 42-MEMBER ADVISORY MEMBERS SHOULD RESIGN IF THEY HAVE ANY DECENCY LEFT IN THEM!

August 10, 2009 on 2:52 pm | In General | Comments Off

Datuk Dr Jacob George's photo‘ a total disgrace and unacceptable in any circumstances’ - Dr Jacob George

Instead of issuing statements, directly, indirectly or through proxies, the entire 33 members of its Advisory Panel should resign in the wake of this tragedy if they have any self respect or decency left in them!

Failing which they are as guilty as those whose hands are soiled in this gruesome and irresponsible act!

An innocent life has been lost forever, parents losing their child, siblings their own, a young lass her husband and an unborn child - a father!

This loss will never be forgotten nor the circumstances that led to it!
